A Personal Space

A place where Seymour went
for inspiration
the space he dug beneath his house
his cave
where elves helped produce
boolean one day and a fast
very fast Cray computer next

In this space a mind may roam
a cosmos
a realm contained in a domain
secure from intrusion

where a mind may ponder
cosmology’s constants
where a mind may
wander where it may

Forty-Five Years On

they’d rather steal from you than buy from your store
their senses cue on stimuli others ignore

chanting dancing
on the warpath still
networks of networks intertwine
assaults subliminal
   touches unfelt
penetrations unnoticed

once great powers now city-states
defend their domains

those that rule
face resistance on real ground

but cyber’s fifth column
is inside the city

cannot be turned back
