Holy Women

urine on the floor

her eyes deep pools

strapped to her chair

toothless gums

crabbed skin

a young nun comes near

attempts to wipe

makes no contact with her chin

as she stares 

one half of her mind

entertains the other

as she wipes first 

face

then floor

then strokes the face of Christ

upon her knees

she is at Calvary

at the foot of the cross
