Russia demands Ukraine give them Danegeld

Lands Russia hasn’t already conquered 

Rich fertile farmland Europe’s breadbasket

All this in time to nominate Trump for a prize

He dreams of adding to all his plunder

Not caring he’s tearing Ukraine asunder

Asking brave men to accept dishonor

All so Trump can claim he’s made peace

But Danegeld only stimulates desire for more

History tells us Vikings did not stop marauding

It was all a migration as it is now

For Russia has little attractive of its own

From Putin to Genghis Khan there runs a direct line

invaders coming from the north northeast
